Summer 2025 Plant Walks!

This summer, I'll again be offering a series of plant walks around South Minneapolis.

The location will change throughout the season - mostly we'll be meeting in parks or along the creek/lakes. This will be a chance to find help identifying plants that are new to you, and to learn a bit more about plants you know already. We'll peek, smell, and taste the plants we encounter throughout the walk, and may have an opportunity to harvest as we go, too.

The Four Dates for this Season's Plant Walks are:

PAST WALKS:

Monday, June 9th - 6:30-8:00pm - Meet at West River Road and 36th Street

Tuesday, July 1st - 6:30-8:00pm - Meet at Lake Nokomis

Monday, July 28th - 6:30-8:00pm - Meet at Lyndale Park Peace Garden

Tuesday, August 19th - 6:30-8:00pm - Meet at Coldwater Spring

Specific meet-up locations will be posted here closer to the dates. If you signed up ahead of time you’ll receive an email with location details the week of the walk.

Summers are busy! Please register early if possible. I'm going to make these walks available on a drop-in basis this year, too, but dates that I don't have pre-registrations might get cancelled. Also, letting me know you'll be there means we'll be watching for you the day of!

I am asking $15-45 (sliding scale) for each plant walk. If you'd like to sign up for the entire series the ask is $50-150 (for 4 walks).
