If you are a care-worker (and if you're wondering if you might be a care-worker, the answer is 'yes!'), then you're probably feeling the stress that fear, a lack of safety, and isolation are putting on so many of us these days. And you're likely thinking about the future, too, and how we might prepare ourselves to keep taking care of each other in hard times.
In this series, herbalist Reishi Leaf and I will talk about the plant world - as kin and as medicine - as a source of grounding, ease, and strength when times are hard. Through five evening classes we'll discuss strategies for thinking, acting and being with plants, and we'll of course talk about specific plants who give their medicine to help with our stress, despair and grief.
A sixth gathering on a Saturday morning will be a chance to do some medicine making together.
Part of our interest in this series is to begin a conversation about being better prepared to respond as herbalists in an emergency or crisis - and how to do that work together. Everyone is welcome to join this conversation.
