For late summer, artist Jessie Merriam and I are offering another evening-long, plant-specific deep dive - using print-making, herbal knowledge, and history as tools for getting to know yarrow (Achillea millefolium).

I'll share what I know about yarrow as a protector and incredible first aid remedy, and share some stories about the plant's long use by human around the world. Then Jessie will lead us in creating our own woodblock prints honoring this powerful herbal ally.

We'll have time while carving for more conversation about all that yarrow has to offer.

Registration is currently full. You can get on the waitlist (or check out other great wood-based offerings) at https://fireweedwoodshop.wildapricot.org/event-5772896.

This month artist Jessie Merriam are offering another evening-long, plant-specific deep dive - using print-making, herbal knowledge, and history as tools for getting to know one, single plant - the long-adored rose!

Then Jessie will lead us in creating our own woodblock prints honoring this beauty. We'll have time while carving for more conversation about all that rose has to offer.

The Long-Term Ecological Research Project is a large-scale, long-term collaboration taking a close look at ecological resiliency in urban ecosystems.

Ramble events are an invitation to the public to connect with the LTER through art, craft, and conversation.

I'm excited for a chance to talk with folks about the medicine underfoot! AND there will community art projects to lend a hand to, along with interesting conversations, I guarantee.
