I always look forward to the Lake Superior Traditional Ways Gathering, where I'll be teaching medicine-making again this year. This annual event is beloved to my family and getting to offer something of my last year's work while I'm here is icing on the cake!

This year I'm offering two different salve-making classes aimed at two different common needs/symptom-patterns.

Learn more about the gathering at www.traditionalways.org.

Heads Up! Registration for this year's gathering is full.

Herb and Print-Making Class

Thursday, June 12th * 5:30-8:30pm * Fireweed Community Woodshop

For over two years, print-making artist Jessie Merriam and I have been offering this series of deep-dives into one single plant. It's kind of a wonder that it's taken us this long to turn our attention to dandelion - this fierce, persistent, medicine-for-the-people. But now is a great time!

I'll share what I know about the history and botany of the plant, and we'll discuss medicinal and culinary uses, and do some sampling. Then Jessie will lead us in creating our own woodblock prints honoring this bright, abundant beauty. Participants will go home with their prints and a tin of dandelion flower salve!

We'll have time while carving for more conversation about Dandelion's many virtues!

THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL. PLEASE JOIN US NEXT TIME! Registration is open now on the Fireweed website: https://www.fireweedwoodshop.org/event-6122415

May 23rd-25th, 2025 ~ Almond, WI

I'm excited to have been chosen to present at the Midwest Women's Herbal Conference in May.

I'll be presenting on Herbal Suncare and Herbal Care for the Nervous System in hard times. My fabulous teacher Lise Wolff will be teaching there, too, and the keynote speaker is Robyn Wall Kimmerer! It should be a pretty nourishing weekend...

Tickets are selling out fast, so register soon if you're thinking about joining.
