May 23rd-25th, 2025 ~ Almond, WI

I'm excited to have been chosen to present at the Midwest Women's Herbal Conference in May.

I'll be presenting on Herbal Suncare and Herbal Care for the Nervous System in hard times. My fabulous teacher Lise Wolff will be teaching there, too, and the keynote speaker is Robyn Wall Kimmerer! It should be a pretty nourishing weekend...

Tickets are selling out fast, so register soon if you're thinking about joining.

If you are a care-worker (and if you're wondering if you might be a care-worker, the answer is 'yes!'), then you're probably feeling the stress that fear, a lack of safety, and isolation are putting on so many of us these days. And you're likely thinking about the future, too, and how we might prepare ourselves to keep taking care of each other in hard times.

In this series, herbalist Reishi Leaf and I will talk about the plant world - as kin and as medicine - as a source of grounding, ease, and strength when times are hard. Through five evening classes we'll discuss strategies for thinking, acting and being with plants, and we'll of course talk about specific plants who give their medicine to help with our stress, despair and grief.

A sixth gathering on a Saturday morning will be a chance to do some medicine making together.

Part of our interest in this series is to begin a conversation about being better prepared to respond as herbalists in an emergency or crisis - and how to do that work together. Everyone is welcome to join this conversation.

Meeting location will be shared with paid registration. We will be meeting in the 55407 zip code. Meeting dates will be:

Five Thursdays, 6:30-8:30pm

March 20th, 27th

April 10th, 17th, 24th

One Saturday, April 12th, 9:00-1:00

The ask for this offering is $175-275, including supplies. If you need another payment arrangement, please reach out!

Sign up using this form. We will cap the group at 15 to keep things cozy!

Join me for a four-class introduction to crafting your own herbal medicine. We’ll cover the basics of all the different ways medicinal plants are crafted for human use; get introductions/refreshers on a few easy-to-use herbs; and craft 2-3 different remedies to bring home.

Each 2-hour class will include some talking and some hands-on time. This series is created for both beginners and anyone looking for a refresher. We will harvest and use fresh plant material, weather-permitting.

The ask for this series is $80-240 sliding scale, which includes all supplies. Please reach out if you would like to attend but need another arrangement.

REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED, BUT I HOPE TO OFFER IT AGAIN IN THE FALL. REACH OUT IF YOU'D BE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING!
